"While working on this mural, I was thinking about how I wanted to keep working in collaboration with my late Uncle. This mural was a way for me to honour our work together. He designed a serpent pendant that is quite stylized like the ones portrayed on this mural. He was a great artist, and this is my way of recognizing his impact."
