"This blanket I asked my brother to help me on. To me it symbolizes our sharing of knowledge. My elders say “don’t be stingy!” And it is an honour for me to share with my brother. He carries the name Nash’mene’tun which is the masculine version of my name, Nash’mene’ta’naht. This weaving has the black and white checker-boarding, with red twill, and stacked black and white triangles at the bottom. These are all different kinds of weaving techniques to learn for designing a weaving."
