"I wanted to reflect the colours I used on a basket I wove for Uncle Shane last year. He asked me to paint four stripes on the basket. Blue being the ocean, green for land, red for medicine, and yellow at the top for sunlight. These colours, with the addition of black and white, are also reflected on a weaving I visited with at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, England. That weaving taught me a lot about the technical aspects of Salish weaving design, but also the joy in pattern making for our blankets."

This piece was displayed in the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology in Cambridge, England, part of a group exhibition called "Fault Lines"
