"This weaving called “Infinite” is inspired by the vastness of territory and the richness and strength that it gives us. The boundless limit of the sky, the depth of the water, and the stretch of the horizon all have given us a foundation of teaching and way of being to ground ourselves to place. When I see the expanse of a morning sky, I think of all the ancestors before me and wonder how they would start their day and what they were thinking. This weaving is a blanket and the typical size of one that I would make for a ceremony such as a naming. This wearable blanket serves as a physical representation of love and care; a weaving holding our loved ones. I truly believe that we live in one of the strongest spiritual places on the planet. I wanted to create a weaving to acknowledge a fraction of the deep love that I have for my home, in my and my ancestor's traditional territory.

My hope is that these weavings can remind students that they are loved, and that their work and efforts in pursuing post-secondary education is recognized by everyone in their lives. The teachings, conversations, and research they do will lift them up and help them step into new roles in their lives."
