"I was asked by my mentor Debra Sparrow to weave a blanket for her daughter’s name announcement ceremony. I was creating a lot of weavings at that time, so she had spun the two-ply wool for this weaving and some of the other off-white colours, and I used wool I spun as well and then wove this blanket. This name was given to her by her Stó:ō great grandmother when she was just a baby."
